These are the ground rules for using sixdegreesofrock.com (“Six Degrees of Rock”, “the site”). By using the site, you agree to them.
Six Degrees of Rock is a community-built map connecting bands through their members. You can explore the graph freely. Creating an account lets you add bands, edit entries, follow bands for updates, and play the game.
You’re responsible for activity under your account. You can sign in with an email address or through Google, Facebook, or Instagram. If we believe an account is being used abusively, we may suspend or remove it.
Bands you add, edits you make, and bios you write become part of the shared public map. By contributing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content on the site. You keep ownership of what you create.
Only contribute things you have the right to share. Don’t post private personal information about living people, and don’t lift text wholesale from other sites — write it in your own words.
Don’t abuse the service: no spam, no harassment, no deliberately false entries, no scraping or automated use that degrades the site for everyone else, and no trying to break into accounts or systems.
The graph is built and maintained by the community, including the bands themselves. We aim for accuracy but can’t guarantee every entry is complete or correct. If you spot an error, fix it or let us know.
We work to keep the site running smoothly, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features at any time.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
We may update these terms as the site evolves. We’ll update the date above when we do, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
